Prime expands collaboration with FEDRO18.10.2011
The Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) has engaged Zurich’s full-service agency Prime for managing communications revolving around the total renovation of the A1 expressway section between Rheineck and St. Margrethen in the period 2011 to 2017. Hence, Prime is further expanding its cooperative venture with the local FEDRO office in Winterthur.
Prime Communications has been responsible for carrying out communications activities for FEDRO relating to the total renovation of the expressway along section A3/13 of the Sarganserland junction, as well as section A3 between Wollishofen and Wollerau, since 2009. The agency will now also be responsible in the future for managing communications revolving around the renovation of the A1 expressway section between Rheineck and St. Margrethen in canton St. Gallen.
Prime won the bidding on this contract with the local FEDRO office in Winterthur through a public tender offer. “The factors that convinced us to choose Prime were the price/performance ratio and quality of the concept as well as the agency’s experience in collaborating with public-sector organisations,” according to Karin Ammann, Head of Communications at FEDRO Winterthur.
Communications activities surrounding the Rheineck-St. Margrethen renovation project are extensive, comprising consulting services to project management in all matters of communications, public relations, conception and production of information materials, organisation and execution of orientation events, in addition to development of special measures such as film and photo documentation.
The duration of the renovation project runs from 2011 probably to the end of 2017. Project planning is envisaged for 2011 and 2012, with preliminary construction scheduled for 2013/2014 and primary construction activities extending from 2015 to 2017.
