Prime communicates on behalf of FEDRO16.12.2009
Zurich, 16 December 2009. The Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) has engaged the full-service agency Prime for carrying out communications activities revolving around the total renovation of the motorway along section A3/13 of the Sarganserland junction, as well as section A3 between Wollishofen and Wollerau.
The lion’s share of the Swiss motorway network was constructed over 30 year’s ago and must be renovated. On 1 January 2008, the Swiss Federal Roads Office (FEDRO) assumed responsibility for the renovations and, in turn, the communications as well from the cantons.
In northeast Switzerland, FEDRO’s local office in Winterthur contracted out the communications activities for ten extensive renovation and new construction projects. Prime submitted a bid for two of the contracts – and succeeded in winning both of them. “The factors that favoured Prime in the bidding process were, in particular, the quality of the concept and the impressive proposed solutions for possible emerging problems as well as its profound experience in collaborating with public-sector organisations,” according to Karin Ammann, Head of Communications at FEDRO Winterthur.
Prime is responsible for handling the communications activities surrounding the renovation of the motorway along section A3/13 of the Sarganserland junction, as well as section A3 between Wollishofen and Wollerau. The tasks comprise providing consulting services to project management in all matters of communications, public relations, conception and production of information materials, organisation and execution of orientation events, in addition to development of special measures such as film and photo documentation.
The renovation project encompassing section A3/13 of the Sarganserland junction will last from 2010 until 2012, while the construction work on section A3 between Wollishofen and Wollerau will extend to the year 2017.
Prime employs 30 experts in the fields of public relations, advertising, brand identity, corporate publishing and online communications. Since the company was founded more than 13 years ago, Prime has successfully focussed on an interdisciplinary approach for developing and implementing client-specific communications solutions.
